Brasil tem primeira morte confirmada pela variante ômicron da Covid-19

O Brasil registrou nesta quinta-feira (6) a primeira morte causada pela variante ômicron da Covid-19. O óbito foi confirmado pela secretaria municipal de Saúde de Aparecida de Goiânia, em Goiás.
A vítima era um homem de 68 anos que estava internado e era portador de doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica e hipertensão arterial.

Ele estava vacinado com as duas doses do imunizante contra a Covid-19 e a dose de reforço.
O homem tinha tido contato com uma pessoa que havia testado positivo para a doença e cuja infecção pela variante já havia sido confirmada.
