Governo federal libera mais de R$ 319 mil para Petrópolis

Cidade foi atingida por fortes chuvas em fevereiro e março

O Ministério do Desenvolvimento Regional autorizou nesta terça-feira (12/4) o repasse de mais de R$ 319 mil a Petrópolis, na região serrana do estado do Rio de Janeiro, para ações de Defesa Civil. A portaria foi publicada no Diário Oficial da União.  

A cidade foi atingida por temporais em fevereiro e março deste ano, que deixaram 241 mortos e três desaparecidos. As chuvas de fevereiro foram consideradas o maior desastre natural da história de Petrópolis.

Elas provocaram mais de 7.500 deslizamentos de terra. Dados divulgados nessa segunda-feira (11/4) pela prefeitura de Petrópolis mostram que ainda há 173 pessoas em abrigos municipais.

Com os novos recursos, o volume total de repasses federais ao município já soma cerca de R$ 7 milhões desde fevereiro, segundo informações do Ministério do Desenvolvimento Regional.
