Luiz Fernando Corrêa é nomeado diretor-geral da Abin

O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva nomeou nesta ter o delegado aposentado da Polícia Federal Luiz Fernando Corrêa como diretor-geral da Agência Brasileira de Inteligência (Abin). A nomeação foi publicada no Diário Oficial da União. 

A indicação de Corrêa já havia sido aprovada pelo Senado Federal, no dia 17 de maio. A análise é um requisito exigido por lei.

De acordo com a Abin, a posse ocorrerá nas próximas semanas.

Luiz Fernando Corrêa é delegado aposentado da Polícia Federal. De 2007 a 2011, foi diretor-geral da instituição. Também foi secretário nacional de Segurança Pública (Senasp) do Ministério da Justiça, entre novembro de 2003 e setembro de 2007; e diretor de Segurança do Comitê Organizador dos Jogos Olímpicos e Paralímpicos Rio 2016, de junho de 2011 a setembro de 2016.
