PF prende suspeito de transporte ilegal de madeira no aeroporto do RJ

Homem tentava embarcar para Itália com 70 peças de pau-brasil

A Polícia Federal (PF) prendeu um italiano transportando, ilegalmente, ripas de madeira originárias da espécie pau-brasil, no Aeroporto Internacional do Galeão, no Rio de Janeiro.

De acordo com a PF, ele foi preso na noite dessa quinta-feira (16/6), quando tentava embarcar para Milão, na Itália, com conexão em Portugal.

Ainda segundo a PF, em uma fiscalização de rotina, foram encontradas 70 peças de madeira, que estavam dentro de uma bagagem despachada pelo passageiro, de 54 anos.

Ele foi preso em flagrante e encaminhado à Superintendência da PF no Rio. O estrangeiro responderá por crime contra o meio ambiente.
