Terremoto de 5,9 de magnitude atinge Acre, próximo da fronteira com Peru

Na manhã deste sábado (2/10), um terremoto de magnitude 5,9 atingiu a região da fronteira entre o Brasil e o Peru. A informação foi divulgada pelo Centro Sismológico Europeu do Mediterrâneo (EMSC), que registrou um tremor de 597 km de profundidade.

Já o Serviço Geológico dos Estados Unidos (USGS), capturou um abalo às 9h52 (horário de Brasília). O fenômeno foi sentido a uma profundidade de 589,4 quilômetros.

De acordo com a entidade, o terremoto foi registrado em uma área onde fica localizado a terra indígena Jaminawa/Envira, no Acre, a cerca de 30 quilômetros da fronteira com o Peru.
