Um homem foi preso ao ser flagrado transportando 13 pássaros silvestres (Canários da Terra) dentro de uma mochila nessa quinta-feira (5/6), na BR-020.

O suspeito estava em um ônibus interestadual com destino ao estado da Paraíba.

Os policiais do Batalhão Ambiental chegaram ao homem depois de uma denúncia. A mochila com os animais estava no bagageiro.

Os pássaros foram levados para o Centro de Triagem com Animais Silvestres (Cetas) e o suspeito para a delegacia.

Ele assinou um termo de compromisso e foi liberado.
