Jabuti passeia em delegacia após ser apreendido em cativeiro no DF

Um jabuti foi apreendido na última segunda-feira (22), durante à Operação São Francisco, por agentes da 15ª DP, em cativeiro em uma residência na QNM 3, em Ceilândia, no Distrito Federal.

O responsável pelo jabuti, um homem, de 56 anos, foi autuado em flagrante pelo crime ambiental. Segundo o envolvido, há cerca de um mês, ele encontrou o jabuti atravessando a pista no Setor das Arniqueiras e, por medo de que o animal fosse atropelado, ele levou o jabuti para casa.

O homem foi liberado após se comprometer a comparecer em juízo quando intimado. Caso condenado, sua pena pode alcançar um ano de prisão.

“O animal foi apreendido e encaminhado aos cuidados do Centro de Triagem de Animais Silvestres (Cetas), para cuidados e avaliação veterinária”, explica o delegado-chefe da 15ª DP, João Ataliba Neto.
