Papa Francisco nomeia padre Toninho, de São Carlos, a bispo auxiliar em Brasília

O Papa Francisco nomeou, nesta quarta-feira (21/12), o Monsenhor Antônio Aparecido de Marcos Filho, popularmente conhecido pelos fiéis por padre Toninho, para bispo titular de Centenária e auxiliar na Arquidiocese de Brasília (DF).

Atualmente, o padre é reitor do seminário de Teologia, em São Carlos. Mas também foi pároclo da Igreja São João Batista. A ordenação está marcada para o próximo dia 18 de março.

Dom Antônio Aparecido de Marcos Filho, de 56 anos, cursou filosofia no Instituto São Tomás de Aquino, em São Carlos, e teologia, na Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC) de Campinas. Em 10 de setembro de 1999, ele foi ordenado padre. Dom Antônio comandou diversas igrejas em São Paulo.
