Com a marca de 21,31 m, o brasileiro Darlan Romani conseguiu, nesta terça-feira (3/8), uma vaga na final do arremesso de peso das Olimpíadas de Tóquio. Ele precisava chegar a 21,20 m para se classificar.

Em entrevista após a prova, ele lembrou ter tido Covid-19, assim como seu irmão e mãe e disse que 2020 foi “um ano difícil”.

“Hoje é mais um passo que demos para uma final olímpica. Estou dando meus 200% lá dentro. No primeiro arremesso vacilei um pouco, poderia ter passado já, veio no segundo, mas é isso, vamos continuar focados. Torçam, mandam energias positiva, porque vamos atrás desse sonho”, disse Romani para o SporTV.

A final está marcada para as 23h da próxima quarta-feira (horário de Brasília).
