Kawan Pereira, 19, conseguiu em Tóquio-2020 um feito inédito entre brasileiros: se classificar para a final nos saltos ornamentais na plataforma de 10 m em Jogos Olímpicos.

Neste sábado (7), Kawan ficou em 12º na semifinal, com nota de 400.40 pontos -os 12 melhores avançaram à decisão.
Estreante em Olimpíadas, ele agora disputará a final, marcada para às 3h (de Brasília) deste sábado.

O outro brasileiro na modalidade, Isaac Souza, foi eliminado ainda na fase classificatória. Ele ficou na na 20ª colocação, com 339.30 pontos, e não chegou às semifinais.
