O presidente dos EUA, Joe Biden, vai restringir viagens da África do Sul e de sete outros países a partir de segunda-feira (29).
Seguindo o conselho do Dr. Anthony Fauci e dos Centros para Controle e Prevenção de Doenças, a administração Biden restringirá viagens da África do Sul, Botswana, Zimbábue, Namíbia, Lesoto, Eswatini, Moçambique e Malawi.

Autoridades, que ainda estão aprendendo mais sobre a variante, disseram que a política foi implementada com muita cautela, já que a Organização Mundial da Saúde agora identificou isso como uma variante de preocupação.

Isso não se aplica a cidadãos norte-americanos e residentes permanentes legais. Como acontece com todos os viajantes internacionais, eles ainda devem testar negativo antes da viagem.
