Uma colisão entre dois helicópteros militares dos Estados Unidos deixou nove soldados mortos.

Aeronaves se chocaram em Kentucky durante uma missão de treinamento. O acidente ocorreu na noite desta quarta-feira (29), por volta das 22h, e envolveu helicópteros do modelo Black Hawk.

Divisão responsável pelos helicópteros falou em “várias vítimas”. “Podemos confirmar que duas aeronaves da 101ª se envolveram em um acidente com um balanço de várias vítimas ontem à noite”, afirmou a 101ª Divisão Aerotransportada.

O governador de Kentucky, Andy Beshear, disse que iria viajar a Fort Campbell para acompanhar as investigações do acidente. Ele informou que as autoridades locais estão atendendo a ocorrência.
