Autoridades apuram suspeita de explosivo em caminhonete próximo à Casa Branca

A Polícia do Capitólio, sede do Legislativo dos Estados Unidos, em Washington, investiga uma suspeita de bomba próximo à Biblioteca do Congresso, que fica a pouco mais de 3 quilômetros da Casa Branca.

Segundo a agência de notícias Associated Press, a suspeita é a de que haja um dispositivo explosivo em uma caminhonete próxima à biblioteca, uma das mais importantes do mundo. Prédios da região foram evacuados. O Congresso está em recesso, mas a área recebe um grande número de turistas.

A Polícia do Capitólio pediu que os moradores de Washington evitem a região.
