Presidente de Burkina Faso é detido em acampamento militar

No domingo, houve registros de tiroteios perto da residência presidencial

O presidente de Burkina Faso, Roch Kabore, foi detido em um acampamento militar nesta segunda-feira (24/01), após intensos tiroteios em torno de sua residência na noite de domingo na capital Uagadugu.

O país enfrenta um motim de soldados que exigem mais apoio do governo para lutar contra militantes islâmicos e a renúncia de chefes do Exército e da Inteligência.

Ainda no domingo (23/01), o governo de Burkina Faso confirmou tiros em alguns quartéis militares, mas negou que o Exército havia tomado o poder.
